CMT音楽賞2011最優秀PV賞はテイラー・スウィフト『Mine』、新婚カップルダブル受賞他

米国時間6月8日、米テネシー州ナッシュビルのブリヂストン・アリーナ（Bridgestone Arena）にて毎年恒例ファン投票型カントリー・ミュージック・ビデオ、パフォーマンスの音楽祭「CMTミュージック・アワード2011」（CMT Music Awards）が開催され、最高栄誉賞にあたる「年間最優秀ビデオ賞」（Video of the Year）には、当初の予想を破りテイラー・スウィフト（Taylor Swift）の『Mine』が、ミランダ・ランバート（Miranda Lambert）の『The House That Built Me』、レディ・アンテベラム（Lady Antebellum）の『Hello World』、シュガーランド（Sugarland）の『Stuck Like Glue』、キャリー・アンダーウッド（Carrie Underwood）の『Undo It』、ザ・バンド・ペリー（The Band Perry）の『If I Die Young』等有力9曲を押さえ、見事その栄冠を手にしました。

テイラー・スウィフトの「年間最優秀ビデオ賞」の受賞は、2008年『Our Song』、2009年『Love Story』に次いで3度目の受賞になります。

現在ツアー中のテイラー・スウィフトはウィスコンシン州のライブ会場からビデオ中継を通じ、「そちらに行けたらよかったけど、でもミルウォーキーで15000人の親友たちと一緒にいるの。投票にしてくれたみんな、本当にありがとう。自分がみんなに値するようなことをしてこれたかわからないけど、でもあなたたちは私の人生の中でとてもたくさんのことをしてきてくれたわ、本当にあなたたちを愛しているわ。」とコメント。

次いで、最有力候補の一つであったミランダ・ランバート（Miranda Lambert）の『The House That Built Me』は昨年に引き続き「年間最優秀女性ビデオ賞」（Female Video of the Year）を受賞、「年間最優秀男性ビデオ賞」（Male Video of the Year）には、先月15日ミランダ・ランバートと挙式を挙げたブレイク・シェルトン（Blake Shelton）の『Who Are You When I’m Not Looking』が選ばれ、年間最優秀男性・女性ビデオ賞を新婚カップルが同時ダブル受賞しました。

シャナイア・トゥエイン（Shania Twain）とテイラー・スウィフトのコメディ・ビデオ「Thelma & Louise」（動画はコチラです）で幕を挙げたCMTミュージック・アワード2011、何といってもその楽しみは、豪華カントリーアーティストによるパフォーマンスですが、今年はザ・バンド・ペリー（The Band Perry）が自身のシングル曲「You Lie」とエミネムとリアーナの「Love the Way You Lie」 のマッシュアップを披露（動画はコチラです）、レディ・アンテベラム（Lady Antebellum）は自身の新曲「Just a Kiss」の後プリンスの「Kiss」のカバーを披露（動画はコチラです）。シュガーランド（Sugarland）はミズーリ州竜巻被害にあわれた方とともに「Stand Up」を披露しました（動画はコチラです）。
